OK. I have completed the phase 1 of my conversion program which could be downloaded from here. This program will covert the Reference (.jpg) file and the Thumbnail (.bmp) file to the required .pdb format. Followings are the instructions that could help you for doing the file conversion.
Preparations: 1. Have your Reference (.jpg) file ready (ReferenceFileame.jpg). 2. Create your thumbnail (.bmp) file (ThumbnailFilename.bmp). The thumbnail file must be a 80x60 pixel 24 bit colour bitmap. You may do that by simply resize your reference file to 80x60 and save as bitmap by a Photo Editor. 3. Make sure the 2 files and the conversion program "th55coref.exe" are in the same directory.
File Conversion: 4. Start a command window (or through start menu and run) to run the program - th55coref.exe. 5. Input the file name ReferenceFilename.jpg as prompt. 6. A file ReferenceFilename.pdb will be created. 7. Input the file name ThumbnailFilename.bmp as prompt. 8. Input the caption that will be displayed underneath the CO Thumbnail. 9. A file ReferenceFilename_TN.pdb will be created. (Note: No file checking is performed by the program. The generated files will overwrite the existing files with the same file name.)
File Transfer: (You are reminded to do your Handheld backup before the transfer.) 10. Use either MSIMPORT to transfer the 2 .pdb files to MS and move to Handhend or simply transfer the files through HotSync.
That's all. Hope you would not have any trouble.
Some final words that the quality of the bitmap image after the conversion from my program is not so good sometimes. You may like to use some other simple bitmap images to do the job.
