The Memory Stick PRO media format integrates new technologies and features in regard to capacity, speed, real-time recording and data security.

Capacity	4GB (Format has 32GB theoretical maximum capacity)

Connector Shape	Same as existing Memory Stick media (Planar electrode one-row)
Transfer Speed	Up to 80Mbps or 10MB/sec (Format has theoretical 160Mbps transfer speed)
Minimum Write Speed	15Mbps (with optimized 4 pin parallel Memory Stick PRO format-compatible devices)
Power Source	2.7-3.6V
Current	100mA Maximum

• Specifications are subject to change. Some third party software and devices may currently only have limited functionality or may not be compatible at all with Memory Stick PRO media.

Compatibility with Current and Future Devices

While many new Memory Stick PRO media-enabled devices are being released, certain devices already in the market can use the new format cards either natively or after installing a software update.

Devices that are not currently compatible:

Sony® SonicStage® and OpenMG™ Player/Jukebox applications are not yet compatible with the Memory Stick PRO format. Until further notice, Sony suggests using only MagicGate™ Memory Stick media 128 MB capacity and below to store and transfer data created with these programs.
